Rodney served as the Lyon County Attorney from 1982 to January 1997. Rodney is a past member and past president of the Kansas County and District Attorney’s Association.
In 1994, the County and District Attorney Association awarded Rodney the Outstanding Prosecutor of the Year. Rodney also was a member and board member of the National District Attorney Association.
He served on the State Child Death Review Board from 1992 to 1996. Rodney also has served on the Lyon County Planning / Appeals Board. He is licensed in State and Federal court and a member of the Lyon County / Chase County Bar Association.
Rodney has been a member of the Emporia Chamber of Commerce since 1978. He is civically involved with the Sertoma Club of Emporia and is a past president.
He is a member of Sacred Heart Church and is currently on the Sacred Heart Finance Council and Stewardship Committee.
