Stuart N. Symmonds earned an accounting degree at the University of Kansas before graduating with honors at Washburn University School of Law. In law school, Stuart wrote for the Washburn Law Journal and served on its board of editors.
Prior to returning to practice in Emporia, Stuart worked for two law firms in Topeka, KS and externed in Wichita, KS, for the Hon. Eric Melgren of the Federal District Court of Kansas.
Stuart engages in the firm’s litigation practice, business law, administrative law, and criminal law. He’s licensed in the State and Federal courts.
Professionally, Stuart is a member of the Kansas Association for Justice, the Kansas Bar Association, and the Lyon / Chase County Bar Association. He is actively engaged in Emporia and the area’s success.
He is on the board of the United Way of the Flint Hills, a board member of the Emporia Chamber of Commerce, a Finance Council member at Didde Catholic Campus Center, Vice President of the City of Emporia’s multi-use planning path committee, and an active Rotarian as well.
Stuart’s a native Emporian and grew up in North Lyon County. In his spare time, Stuart enjoys playing vintage baseball, wind-boarding, hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting.
